Education is the second-largest industry in the United States. Teachers and educators have some of most important jobs in the world today. They are responsible for directly influencing and training students. Becoming an educator or teacher has many rewards. Obtaining your bachelor degree in education will provide you with a background and knowledge to plan lessons, handle discipline problems, and have a deeper understanding behind the psychology of learning. Most programs take four years and will provide you with a broad liberal arts education, as well as a solid understanding of teaching knowledge and expertise.
Depending on the institution you obtain your degree from and their course requirements, the classes you take may vary. However, no matter where you study, you will generally take many of the same prerequisites that most undergraduate students take for the first two years, then specializing into education classes during the following two years.
