If you hold a bachelor degree in mathematics, you will be able to choose from a number of different career options. In general, a mathematics degree is considered to be a starting point that other fields branch out from. With this type of degree you can choose from non-math careers like actuarial science, which is math in relation to insurance and finance, or computer science or biomathematics, which is the study of biological processes through the use of mathematic principles. You may also decide to be a teacher, as many mathematicians do. The Mathematical Association of American considers the position of being a math teacher to be one that is in very high demand.
