Remember when you were in high school and said, "When am I ever going to use this stuff?" If you are a statistician, you can use it every day in your work life. Statistics is used by companies to determine market activity. Governments and organizations use statisticians to research, collect and analyze data, so that they can develop theoretical models. By developing models, you then develop correlations to determine reasons that things happen. That is why they depend upon the data to be as accurate as possible and use statistics to develop these models.
And How Much?
Analyze data to determine cause and effect in any area of industry. You must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree to work as a statistician, but the rewards are well worth your time. Since organizations have such a difficult time finding good statisticians, they are more willing to pay for relocation costs as well as sign on bonuses.
